The Little Giant 9SC-CIA-SFS 4/10 HP, 6000 GPH sewage and effluent pump is a dependable companion in residential sewage and effluent wastewater removal. The 9SC-CIA-SFS handles solids up to 2-inches in diameter. This pump comes with a built-in (integral) snap action float switch which activates the pump when liquid reaches 10 to 13 inches and shuts off the pump when liquid falls between 5 and 8 inches. This pump features a 20-ft. power cord and energy-efficient PSC motor drawing 8 Amps/870 Watts.This pump is equipped with an air bleed hole which prevents the pump from being airlocked and allowing trapped air to escape. A large volume of water will spray from the pump. The pump is NOT DEFECTIVE. This is normal operation and does not affect the performance of the pump.
